About our township
Township government is grassroots government. The trustees’ intimate knowledge of Pleasant Township, its needs and its citizens enables them to offer more personal service than any other unit of government.
What makes our township the right place for your family
Care and maintenance of roads is the largest function of Pleasant Township. We also provide fire and E.M.S. protection through contracts with neighboring entities. Pleasant Township is a zoned community which requires zoning certificates for most building projects.
The Pleasant Township Board of Trustees is made up of 3 elected Trustees and the Pleasant Township Fiscal Officer, which is also an elected position. The Board meets the Second and Last Wednesday of each month with a meeting starting at 7:00 pm at the Pleasant Township Building located at 10507 Old Tile Factory Rd. Van Wert, Ohio. All meetings are open to the public.
